Jonathan Van Selow

From utilizing an early computer-based training system in the 90s to begin his journey, to traditional classical training and on to writing and recording music, Jonathan has a broad background in everything from accompaniment to rigorous classical performance. Once slated to become a concert pianist (he turned it down for another career), he has returned to his first passion intending to keep the skill of pianism alive in the next generation.

Jonathan brings over thirty years of piano experience and over a decade of classical instruction, coupled with experience as an independent recording artist, accompanist, performer, sound engineer, band member, and, most recently, piano instructor.

Spurred on by those who know him best, he has decided to pursue teaching the next generation of students in Northern California to reach their full potential as pianists. Utilizing a variety of curriculum and a serious approach that is no longer common, he strives to bring out the best in his students.
